This very powerful and moving play does morethan tell the story of Anne Frank and the writing of her diary that subsequently became world famous. It also examines the pressures and dilemmas faced by her family and friends, the struggles of the people of Amsterdam and the demands put on the Nazi officers tasked with searching for hidden Jews. Plus we discover what happened to Anne and Peter, the boy she befriended during the time of hiding…

The play starts in a Jewish school on a bright Summer morning in Summer 1942, and ends on the dark day when Anne’s father Otto returns to Amsterdam after the war, and discovers that Anne did not survive. However, there is hope for the future when he is handed a diary that was secretly kept by Anne during those years of captivity, and which still inspires millions of readers throughout the World.
