1939 and the children of Satchwell Road in London’s East End are being evacuated to the country. Once again Peter Nixon completely captures the atmosphere of the period. The full length play has audiences rocking from laughter to tears and back again as the difference between those two worlds of City and Country collide. As with ‘Satchwell Road Can Take It’ the scenes are interspersed with songs of the period and the very large cast make it the perfect vehicle for school or youth theatre productions.
