Ian Liston of Hiss & Boo Productions, who was flying high in the theatre world at that time signed up Cluedo and, with The Theatre Royal Windsor as the production company, opened the show to great excitement in 1986. Trevor Bannister, Christopher Biggins and Avril Angers starred, and it became the Theatre Royal's most successful show ever. The Queen saw it, as did Vera Lynn, and Sir Tim Rice saw it three times. The show toured for over two years.
