The cast are starting rehearsals for a new play to a paying audience.  Dave the Director is a very professional man on loan from a big London theatre.  He's had a really bad experience with his cast before but has been persuaded to give them another chance.  He still likes everything to run smoothly and expects nothing less this time.  They have been told he is coming and he expects them to be perfect this time.  
 
Surely nothing can go wrong again.  Or can it?
