Kei Bailey’s ‘Aladdin’ has all the ingredients of a traditional pantomime with Aladdin seeking the hand of the beautiful Princess Ki-Lee against the exploits of the evil Abanazar and hindered by the outrageous Widow Twanky and her other son, Wishee Washee. The Genie of the Lamp and the Spirit of the Ring come to the rescue as their adventures take them from the Peking suburb of Flung Dung to the mysterious caves of Egypt. Throw in a daft camel and lots of audience involvement and you have here all the ingredients for a most appealing and successful show.
